hello my beautiful people in the world! this week was absolutely crazy, and let me explain a little why.... elder scott and i were walking back from one of the citas that we had late at night. we noticed that some of the evangelicals were having a service a little ways away in a tennis court that was near our house. out of curiosity, we went and watched the service from a distance, just to see what was up. we are literally 500 feet away, behind some trees, and the pastor sees us and yells at us through his microphone to go into the tennis court and take part of the service. what i thought to do.........lets dip cause im tired what my trainer thought........LETS GO AND SIT WITH THEM! we walked into this little tennis court and sat down with these evangelicals, and the pastor told us to go up to the little platform he was standing on and started to literally yell a prayer in our faces and told us that our sins were forgiven. it was definitely something different. Yesterday was transfer day in the mission. I have another 6 weeks with my fav companion ever to finish up my training. its going to be literally devastating when I have to get a new companion! also, everyone else in our house is staying the same, so thats great...I literally love these guys. theyre great! elder scott and i set another baptismal date this week! woot! it is with one of our investigators named felipe. he's a 15 year old kid and he's literally the coolest guy ever. he is super receptive to the gospel and loves to joke around with us when the lessons are over. one of the funniest things that have happened this week was when we were with one of our investigators named Eddy. he moved here about a week ago and speaks pretty good english. he sat me and elder scott down during one of our citas and had some burning question that he wanted to tell us......... "so like, do mormons have both reproductive organs to make more kids?" after a short "G" rated answer, we all laughed so much! i was literally on a stretcher i was laughing so hard... it was literally the funniest thing in the whole world. well i have to skidaddle, and im sorry there wasn't that much beef to this email, but hopefully next week will be ever more grand! I'm just out here in chile working hard, loving the work (most days) and learning and growing...poco a poco! love all of you! EKW me out tracting on a bridge we out here with no #ragrets the mission dog!! his name is dude and hes such a cutie. sometimes he goes to church with us...sometimes he follows us around. at the end of the day he ALWAYS ends up back at the mission home. hes been known to protect missionaries from the other ravage dogs of chile..what a guy!
