hello beautiful people! this week was one heck of a ride and i only have so much time to write, so ill def make it as short as possible, and make you entertained while i do it. one awesome experience that I had this week was while we were contacting. we were walking around to a cita we had planned and we saw a man on a bench. elder scott and i got the same feeling to go and talk to him. turns out, he was a baptized less active and he was homeless. he turned to drugs and alcohol. we talked to him for a little bit and shared some scriptures to help him through his problem. we walked back to our house with him, and he later told us that he was going to commit suicide in the upcoming week, and that we were the ones to come over and help him through. the cool thing is, is that he started coming back to church, and he has been doing a lot better. UGH THE GOSPEL IS SO TRUE, STAB ME. you may have already heard, but there are two days in the year where the missionaries call,"the purge". basically, its two days out of the year down here in chile where the police turn the other cheek and people kind of do whatever. well, turns out, it was very over hyped and nothing really happened. i was expecting us to barricade the doors and use books of mormon to huck at people when they pass by (you know, scripture power keeps me safe from homocidal maniacs), but we kind of just went home early and then did some language study. we heard a couple gun shots, but it wasn't anything fantastically psycho. one funny story for the week; we were walking to a cita we had with one of our recent converts. we saw some keys on the ground in front of a house, and we decided to try and return them. we knocked on the door, returned the keys to this sweet old lady, and out comes a blazing high guy. hes not high, hes like higher than a space ship when he comes out. he starts yelling "OH PRAISE BE OH PRASIE THE MIGHTY GOD. ELDERS COME INSIDE AND LETS PRAY" we kind of looked at each other and kind of just went along with it. we walk into this guys house, and he feeds us coke and cream puffs. we try and talk to him about God, but he kept shushing us and told us to enjoy our offerings in silence. at the end of this visit, hes literally yelling a prayer to the heavens. stuff like"OH LORD LET YOUR SACRED DROPS OF BLOOD FALL ON THESE TWO YOUNG MEN AND BLES THEM TO ONLY PREACH OF JESUS". he then proceeds to put his hands on our heads, and then yells at us to raise our hands up and is like "AMEN TO THE MIGHTY GOD AMEN" it was pretty grand. well, i must shove, but i loove all of you to pieces! keep sending me pics of all the stuff yáll are doing! que le vaya bien! EKW me and the perrito in a big world we found a thrift store during our p day today and i found this treasure. i was crying from laughter having fun.... me and the tio while i sew patches on my jean jacket house selfie! featuring banana bread! cuties...still having so much fun
