hello all you beautiful people out in the world! this week was literally so awesome! i dont have that much time to write out a big email this week, but some literal miracles happened this week. listen up....let me explain. as missionaries, we have thirty minutes or so every morning to plan out our day. you make a plan A, and a plan B, just in case one of the citas that you made previously fall through or something like that. elder scott and i were out, and all of the citas had fallen through for the hour that we filled out. normally, we would have just went and done some contacting or something like that. no big deal (it happens all the time). instead, we said a little prayer to try and figure out what to do and where to go. after our prayer, we walked around the street for a little bit, and found some lady that was about to leaver her house. we took the opportunity to go up and talk to her and ask her for a direction to an antiguo that we had. turns out, her parents were baptized in the church, she took some of the lessons, and saw their baptisms. she said that she wants to pick up where she left off and take the lessons with us! PEOPLE! PRAYERS DO WORK. i had splits with my zone leaders this week, and they went awesome! we taught so many people that day (4 lessons, and two new investigators). one of the things that i learned from going to the divisions, was that some people may never let you talk during the lessons....some people get so amped up on what they believe, that they dont really let you talk in the lesson! that when you have to get "chorro" (basically means confident) and step in the convo and try and speak some gospel truths to them. def something that i need to be working on in these next couple of months haha! one of the things that i have realized while being down here is that satan is definitely real with twisting your thoughts. i have a little book of thoughts that i have on me when i start to feel down or when i start to get negative thoughts. usually at night, i write things down in my little book. my fav this week was..... "satan is going to try and bring you down as much as he can, and tell you that you cant do anything. but actually, I CAN. YOU CAN. EVERYONE CAN. actually, I CAN because the lord has a plan for me. actually, I CAN because the lord has blessed me with talents to magnify my calling and serve him. actually, I CAN because the savior was already on the cross for all the sad emotions, feelings of discouragement, and thoughts that bring me down." i challenge all of you this week to remember the savior during your times of need, because actually, YOU CAN! you can get through anything with the help of the savior. its just one (or more) prayer(s) away! love all of you to the moon and back. chao for now! EKW
