hey all you beautiful people on the other side of the world! how are all of you doing? i hope you all have had an awesome week! i just hit 8 months this past week, and wow, i cannot even begin to tell you how fast the time has gone by down here. i remember it like it was yesterday that i was hopping on my first bus in chile, and then having all my suitcases flying over my head, and me tripping and eating it when the bus stopped in the middle of the road. fun times, fun times. one of the things that was awesome for rigby and i was one of our investigators named carlos.... he has been investigating for EVER. the only thing that is stopping him from getting baptized is the famous law of chastity wall that inhibits the majority of chilenos from getting baptized. he lives with his girlfriend, but feels like he cant get married for the sole purpose that his son (who does a lot of drugs and is really just annoying all the time in the house) is letting too many bad vibes into the house. we visit him every once and a while, and when we went over this last time, he said that we were his saving angels. he said that we were the things that were stopping him from drinking his mind away, and almost leaving his house. he told us that every time that we come into his house, we always leave a good spirit in there for him to dwell in with his girlfriend. rigby and i really needed that pick me up this week. #blessings. it was kind of a testimony builder to me that even the small things that we as missionaries do make an impact on other peoples lives. so i mean if any of you are in a funk or something, invite the elders over and let them invite the spirit into your home! i went on a divisions with my zone leader tilghman and it was literally so much fun. there wasnt any set plans made, so we kind of just contacted our brains out, but we were able to get some future citas with him! i dont have that much time left to write for this week, but i challenge all of you to go and read from mosiah 4!!! i was able to do a personal study on it this week. it talks about how we can find happiness in this life, and how we can apply to atonement in our lives in order to receive it! shoot, transfers are here in like 5 days. YIKES. anxious to see what happens! will i stay where i am, or move to a new area in the mission? rigby and i are pretty sure our time as companions is coming to an end with this transfer. sad because it's been so great. love you all to the moon and back! chao for now! EKW us when someone curses at us, and then shuts the door in our faces
